What is a Business Mentor?

As a business mentor I work with clients directly to tackle the issues they need support with, to help them get the most out of their business. I start by spending a couple of hours with each client, getting to know them and understanding what it is they want to achieve in the longer term and what issues they may be facing.  By identifying key areas, we then work together to look at each problem in depth and I suggest solutions and opportunities to help the business maximise its potential.

You may be at the start of a new business that needs help to grow or an established business that is stuck in a cycle of rising costs and falling profits or maybe moving towards retirement and want to plan for an exit strategy.  Whatever stage of your business I can guide you to help you get the results you want. I can work alongside for as long as you need me, and I also offer packages which include accountancy compliance work for fixed monthly fees.

About me

Now for a little bit about me……. I have been a partner in RDG Accounting since 2009 advising clients on their business tax and accounts and cashflow planning. Before that I worked for a national charity as well as spending several years in merchandising for a large national retailer and I have also worked for manufacturing companies based in the Midlands in export sales, customer service and stock management roles.  I have extensive experience in dealing with problem solving in a production background and have also worked in customer facing roles which has given me a broad business background across a range of industry sectors.

Having trained in accountancy after leaving university, I joined Russell as a partner of RDG Accounting Ltd to help him grow the practice and bring in new systems and procedures so we could deliver excellent services to our clients.  I really enjoy working with clients and helping them understand their accounts and profits and showing them how they can achieve their ideal work life balance.
