Do I have to notify my old accountant that I’m leaving?
You can let them know but we will contact them anyway and request professional clearance so as long as you have paid any outstanding fees then there should be no reason why they would not allow you to move across to us.
What do I need to tell HMRC?
If you are already registered with HMRC we will request authorisation to act as your accountant for the relevant taxes using the tax reference that you have for that service. Once we submit your details online you will be issued and code to give us within 14 days so we can obtain full authorisation to manage that tax service with HMRC on your behalf.
What software should I use for my business?
The staff at RDG are familiar with a range of software packages such as Sage, Quickbooks and Kashflow, but we really like Xero software as we feel this is the best value product for most businesses and offers a lot of useful functions to help you keep your finances well managed.
